Building Life Cycle Cost

The Life Cycle Cost of a building is a combination of initial capital investment and a series of future operational and maintenance costs.

Canada – 2015  until present:

Glenda joined SSA Quantity Surveyors LTD in October 2015 as a Senior Professional Quantity Surveyor of the company. Since joining Glenda has been involved in preparing cost estimates for various new projects as well as preparing payment certifications for ongoing projects.

United Arab Emirates, Dubai – 2002 to 2015:

From 2002 to 2015, Glenda was employed by MLC International (Dubai), a quantity surveying and cost management company.  During this time Glenda worked on several new projects in the leisure industry which included hotels, spas, resorts, the Dubai Opera House and commercial projects which included retail, offices and apartments. Project involvement was from start to finish and included preparing initial budgets, detailed cost plans, tendering and procurement, contract administration, cost control and reporting, certification and final accounts.

South Africa – 1997 to 2002:

During this time Glenda gained quantity surveying experience working on hotels, retail and office developments and was involved in tendering, payment certification and preparing final accounts.
